Ol’ eArThworm is a university reference librarian, retired. Her new career is all trails-and-hiking related: part-time trail maintenance for my city’s Parks and Recreation Department; hike leader, Program Chair, Publicity Chair, and Webmaster for my local chapter of the Florida Trail Association; and collecting books for the Appalachian Trail Museum’s library.

  1. Linda…..GREAT SITE, and an invaluable resource for those like me; hooked on the AT ! Best of luck, hope to meet you on the trail someday.

BTW, I stumbled on another great AT book, Chained Dogs and Songbirds, by O.D. Coyote. He also had an article published in the Appalachian Trailway News entitled:
    Slackpacking Revisited. Highly recommended reading…
